Frequently Asked Questions

What are the park hours at Central Park?
Highlands Ranch community parks, including Central Park, are generally open from 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. daily. Please respect the surrounding neighbors if visiting early in the morning or late in the evening.
Are dogs allowed at Central Park?
Yes, dogs are welcome but must remain on a leash at all times. If you want to let your dog run free, you will need to visit one of the four designated off-leash dog parks in Highlands Ranch (like Rover's Run or Digger's). Please ensure you clean up after your pet!
Can I reserve the pavilion or patio for a private event?
Yes! Central Park has excellent facilities. The Patio accommodates up to 100 people, and the Lawn Shelter accommodates up to 50 people. The shade shelters, however, are not available for reservations. Keep in mind that any group larger than five people for an organized activity requires a park permit through the Highlands Ranch Metro District.
What are the rules for slacklining at Central Park?
Central Park is unique because it features dedicated Slackline Poles! Slacklining is only allowed on these specific poles and never on trees, buildings, fences, or light poles. Slacklines must not be left unattended, are only allowed during park hours, and are prohibited during permitted special events at the park. Participants assume all risks.
Are there interactive features for kids?
Absolutely! Central Park is fantastic for kids. It features a unique Maze Garden with Interactive Chimes, a Tower Plaza with Amphitheater Seating Walls, and fun table tennis and cornhole boards. It's much more than just an open grass field!
