Tanks Skate Park

Tanks Skate Park is a major hub for action sports in the community, located on the northwest corner of the park footprint.

Hours of Operation

  • March – October: 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • November – February: 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Closed on Christmas Day.

Key Facility Rules

  • No dogs allowed in the fenced area.
  • Smoke-free zone (no smoking within 50 ft).
  • Runs should last 45 seconds to a minute max to ensure everyone gets a turn.
  • Helmets, knee/elbow pads, and wrist guards are strongly recommended.

Tanks Park Pickleball Courts

Four highly-coveted outdoor pickleball courts are located directly on the site of the inline skating rink. These courts are incredibly popular during the summer months.

  • Courts are available for reservations or first-come, first-served use.
  • Any courts that are not actively reserved are open for drop-in play.

  • Reservations may be made up to two weeks in advance, and must be booked at least 90 minutes prior to start time.

General Park Rules

Permits

  • Groups of five or more in an organized activity in our parks must obtain a park permit. This includes sports practices, workout groups, company picnics, etc.
  • The safe use of small stakes (not to exceed 10 inches in length) is allowed in parks. All other staking requires an application and permit issued by the Metro District.

Prohibited Activities

The following are prohibited at Highlands Ranch Metro District parks:

  • Littering and dumping
  • Fires, except in grills
  • Fireworks
  • Open carry or discharge of firearms
  • Archery, paintball, pellet and BB guns
  • Golf
  • Model rockets, airplanes and drones
  • Camping without a permit
  • Harassment of wildlife
  • Glass
  • Motorized vehicles (Class I and II e-bikes are allowed)
